Contact us. We’ll take a detailed description of your requirements. Once we have found suitable candidates (depending on the time of year, this usually varies from a few days to a fortnight), we present them for your consideration. The precise employment conditions incl. salary are agreed between you and the employee; however, we recommend a two week trial period.
We tailor our recruitment search to match your specific needs. You tell us your requirements and we find the candidates who match.
Some applicants have agricultural experience. However, before we present any candidate for your consideration, they must undergo a tailored training course which we have specifically written to familiarise them with the various agricultural systems in Ireland. They must pass an exam on this training module before we will consider putting them on our books. This makes it easier for them to learn the specifics of your farm’s operation once they have been hired.
We use our comprehensive network to find employees within Europe. This avoids visa issues and the associated bureaucracy. Before any candidate goes on our books, we interview them, and examine their knowledge of Irish agriculture. The most important personality trait we search for is work ethic. Time and time again, farmers have told us that what they need most are employees who desire to do a good job. In our experience, this enables an employee to quickly learn what the farmer wants in his/her system. Most candidates are motivated by a desire to earn and save up money, and are aware that to do this successfully, it is in their own interest to do the job well and become a valuable part of your farm business, instead of hopping from job to job.
At present, the focus of our agricultural business in the Republic of Ireland. However, we may be able to help those in Northern Ireland or Great Britain. Contact us and we’ll do our best to assist you.
As in all sectors of the Irish economy at present, there is a severe shortage of people available to work in agriculture. Making your vacancy attractive will entice more people to want to work for you, boosting your chances of finding the right person for your business. The vacancies which are fastest to fill, usually offer accommodation and/or the use of a vehicle. Higher paid positions also tend to be filled quicker.
The speed at which a position can be filled tends to depend on the time of year. Higher demand periods e.g. spring, can take a bit longer than other seasons. Placement usually varies from a few days to a fortnight. Attractive conditions of employment attract candidates faster.
No. By charging a placement fee instead of an hourly fee (which is how the administration model works), the farmer’s costs are kept down, and the employee gets the full wage.
In such situations, we'll provide a replacement candidate as quickly as possible to ensure as minimal disruption to your operation.
This is exactly what the trial period is for. We provide you with a dedicated team member who you can contact if there is any issue. We will address your query promptly to find a satisfactory solution.
Our pricing is transparent and very competitive. You'll always know what to expect in terms of expenses. Contact us for more information.
